My cat darts through my house chasing an invisible mouse
My cat darts down the hall totally ignoring my call
My cat jumps onto my fridge and perches upon the ridge
My cat graces the back of my chair and tries to braid my unruly hair
My cat lies in the middle of my bed making me sleep upon my head
My cat wants her breakfast at midnight I’m glad I can dish it up by the fridge light
My cat chose me at the adoption mart and I’m so grateful because she fills my heart.

The horse on the porch is staring at the golf course,
The horse on the porch wants to play too, of course.
The horse on the porch could kick that golf ball
Into his house right through the great hall.
The horse on the porch thinks it’s an odd little game
But if you want him to play he’ll step up cos he’s game;
But the horse on the porch prefers a different swing,
The one where he sits and feels like a king.
The horse on the porch prefers to swing in the shade
With his pals and his cookies and drink lemonade.

They fly through the air with the greatest of ease
But, no, it has nothing to do with a trapeze
They are muscle and strength and endurance and grace,
When I see them running free it makes my heart race
They are fire, they are wind, they are light, they are air,
The horses in the herd are beauty beyond compare.
